Pauline Johnson, Tekahionwake — this evocative candle brings the spirit of Canadian pride and poetry into your home. Her words, full of affection for the land she loved, are subtly echoed in the elegant label design: a soft parchment background with timeless script and her signature below. As an acrostic, the first letters of each line spell C-A-N-A-D-A.

Johnson’s background was remarkable. Of mixed Mohawk and English heritage, she wove elements of both cultures into her writings and performances—celebrating Canada's promise while also illuminating the injustices she witnessed in society.

The candle is hand-poured in the USA using luxe coconut apricot wax and a clean-burning cotton wick, free of lead and zinc. Each is topped with a gleaming gold lid for a refined finish.
