I've been thinking about switching to a metal fence for my backyard. We originally went with wood, but after only a few years, it started to wear down. I can see where you are going with that one! We had a similar problem with our old wooden fence – it first looked beautiful, but after a couple of winters, it got ugly. Three years ago, we had the metal fence, and honestly, having it has been such a blessing. Not having to repair it every year, it is still shiny, like it is new. If you are in Terrace you may want to look at some local ones – the Fence Contractors in Terrace, BC helped us find a fine example. And you do not have to waste a lot of time maintaining the metal like how you would have to with the wooden fence.
